The Skinny release new single 02:45.

Perth/Boorloo alternative rock band The Skinny release their new single 02:45 on Friday, September 4.

Built around driving guitars, a restless rhythm section and a hook that gets straight to the point, 02:45 is the latest release from The Skinny — a four-piece drawing on the rawer end of alternative and indie rock. 

02:45 captures that particular point late in the night when good decisions have largely gone out the window. It’s a song about attraction, impulse and two people heading off into the early hours together. More importantly, it’s about breaking free of a stagnant relationship and moving on with your life. 

Recorded with Dan Carroll at Rada Studios in Fremantle, the single marks the beginning of a new run of music from The Skinny, with more recording and live shows planned.

THE SKINNY are a Perth alternative pub rock band making loud,
hook-filled guitar music built for packed pubs and sticky floors.

Regulars around the local scene, they’ve played venues like
Mojo’s and The Bird while sharpening their sound through years
of shed jams and DIY demos. Their debut single, 02:45, arrives
on Friday, September 4.
